Hi, I’m Soumya!

Khargosh didn’t begin as a business.
It began as a DIY project for my daughter.

Like most parents, I found myself surrounded by content: fast, loud, distracting.
But very little of it helped children become calm, kind, thoughtful humans.

I asked myself,
What kind of world do I want my child to grow up in?

So I started creating stories for her.

Stories that teach:
empathy over ego
patience over impulse
curiosity over distraction

What began as bedtime stories for my own child slowly became something more.

My Story

I’m a software developer by education, and I’ve had the opportunity to work with companies like Amazon, WalmartLabs, Meta, Twitter, and Google.

I’ve always loved building things. Coding, solving problems, creating systems, it was rewarding in many ways.

But somewhere, it never fully satisfied my need to create something of my own.
Something meaningful.
Something I could share with my child.

Alongside this, I’ve always been drawn to creativity, experimenting with animations and video editing since my college days.

Khargosh is where all of these worlds finally came together, technology, storytelling, design, and motherhood.

  • Childhood should feel calm, not chaotic

  • Stories shape how children see the world

  • Indian families deserve stories that feel close to home

  • learning can be gentle, joyful, and deeply meaningful
