Mythology is often complex and small children find it difficult to retain the key events and in the right order. Somehow this book manages to overcome this and makes it super breezy for the parent and the child to read, know and remember ! And not just remember the story but also remember the life lesson behind it without making it sound like a typical moral story.i am so glad we have this book for our kids and looking forward to many more in this series. Not to miss that it's such an enriching conversation maker with the child that it adds to conscious parenting. Great experience for us.
At first glance, this book could be mistaken for one of those countless glossy children’s titles that crowd Amazon’s shelves — cheerful colors, friendly illustrations, and the promise of “yet another story.” But a second look reveals something far more interesting. Beneath its deceptively simple surface, the book plants the seeds of Indian mythology in a child’s mind with remarkable ease — not through weighty explanations, but through narrative charm.
The true surprise, however, was this: my five-year-old read it once and, the very next day, could narrate the entire story of Durga without missing a beat. That is no small feat. Children, after all, forget where they left their shoes within minutes, but this story clearly imprinted itself. Which tells me something profound — mythology, when told well, is not memorized; it is remembered.
In that sense, this isn’t just a storybook. It is a small act of cultural transmission disguised as bedtime reading.
It is nicely designed book for children. It is of great help for children to understand the importance of Durga festival and its cerebrations for the victory of good on evil. Its all pages are laminated one sothat children can’t tear up easily and it will last long .
Its look is also very appealing and attractive
Very informative book and the illustration are extremely well done. A must have book series for kids, given we have very less content around our own civilisation history. My kid spends hours on Peppa rather than ever discussing about any characters that we have in Indian History and Mythology. This is a great start and would love to get more books around the same theme.
This book is such a heartwarming read! My child absolutely loves it. She keeps asking me to read it again and again. The story is empowering, fun, and full of values that make me smile as a parent.
